A studio built by students
Closed Circuit Studios is Stuyvesant's club for everything filmmaking. For over three years we've created short films, supported other clubs with their video needs, and taken on bigger and bigger projects — no matter where our members started.
Who we are
CCS is a hands-on filmmaking club. Members write, direct, shoot, act, and edit original work — and collaborate with other clubs and programs across Stuyvesant on their video projects.
We are organized as a working studio: a nine-person leadership team, specialized crews, and a flexible meeting schedule.
No experience required. Whether you have never held a camera or you have been editing for years, you can join, learn on real productions, and grow into crew lead and management positions.
Start anywhere and move up as you build skills — the club promotes from within.

Nine leadership positions
The club is run by an elected leadership team. Every three months, members vote on whether to keep the current leaders — everyone except the President and Vice President — or hold a new election. Any member who has been in the club for at least 60 days can run, and each member gets one vote.
Every member starts somewhere. Members are encouraged to take on more responsibility over time and can work toward any of these roles.
